About Us

.Biography of D. Martin, Artist, Wildlife Photographer, Carpenter, Inventor.

I was born in Jerusalem when the old city was my back yard.

I served in the Israeli Navy in the most amazing places on Earth, where the sun is red and the ocean is a deep blue color. The Sinai desert and the ocean moved me to photography. After completing my service in the Navy, I began photographing the old city of Jerusalem and the nature that surrounds it. It didn't take long to discover that Israel has one of the biggest Avian migration in the world and Eilat became a hot-spot for me. While on my many drives from the North of Israel to Eilat (375 miles), my friends and I discovered many new species from 1983-1987. Then me and Oz Horin published the booklet, "The Desert Birds of Israel." In this book I have the last two remaining Lappet Faced Vultures in Israel, only six months after publishing the book the birds became extinct from that region.

From the years of 1982 to 1987 I photographed more than 20 new species to Israel; I completed 93% ohe Avian population in Israel. I traveled to Africa and other places in the world to complete my book that, unfortunately, was left unfinished. I left Israel with my family in 1988 and came to Florida. I sold all of my Nikon equipment and stopped photography until 2008, when I started creating a new art that combines: Photography, Computer Technology, and a lot of imagination and time. By combining all of these elements I have called my art, ZuZuRuZu.

All of my artworks are printed on Exhibition Canvas Gloss.

About One Of A Kind Frame

In the location of my warehouse there is a business that imports marble from Brazil. The marble arrives to the U.S. in the form of a crate, which is made up of very hard wood such as Mahogany, Red Oak and other exotic woods. After unloading the marble, the wood is thrown to the dumpster. I then take the wood and shave it from all the flaws, nails, bolts and screws. Once the wood is smoothed down I combine the pieces to create, One of A Kind Frame. All of my frames are made with the old fashioned method of carpentry. I don't use any nails or screws to hold the pieces together, only wooden dowels and glue and a lot of love.

Every frame that I make, I know I've saved a tree.
